Zusammenfassung: | Pouyan E. Boukany, L. James Lee, and colleagues have now found a safe, and efficient way to deliver nanoparticles containing a wide range of therapeutic agents into living cells without going through the endocytosis route, by applying electrical pulses through a nanochannel. The nanofluidic device introduced on page 682 represents a novel platform for in vitro nucleic acid delivery in regulating gene expression and holds great potential in advancing fundamental biological science and modifying cells for biomedical applications. |
