Zusammenfassung: | We report that often vertical wave number spectra of the Martian lower atmospheric temperature are distinctly different from that normally observed for the Earth's atmosphere. In many cases, the observed spectra show wave saturation characteristics (log–log slope of −3) even at wave numbers greater than the ones corresponding to dissipative regime (log–log slope of −5/3), a kind of which is not reported so far for the Earth's atmosphere. Also, some times, steep spectral slopes are obtained at smaller wave numbers near the ones associated with dissipation and positive slopes are noticed at the higher end of the wave numbers of spectra. |
