Well looked‐after: Reductive HCl elimination of the λ6‐silicon(IV) complex 1 leads to the λ3‐silicon(II) species 2, a novel type of donor‐stabilized silylene. Reaction of 2 with [W(CO)6] and with I2 yields the λ5‐silicon(II) complex 3 and the λ6‐silicon(IV) complex 4, respectively.
