Zusammenfassung:A two‐dimensional morphology characterizes the nanoflakes that are obtained in the bottom‐up synthesis of a single‐crystalline coordination polymer, Ni(H2O)2[Ni(CN)4]⋅x H2O. The 10 nm‐thick nanoflakes are well‐dispersed in solution and have a very high accessible surface area (240 m2 g−1). Thermal treatment leads to nanoporous NiO with retention of the original flake morphology.
