Liver Abscess Due to Pyridoxal-Dependent Streptococcus mitis

We report the first case, to our knowledge, of a pyogenic liver abscess caused by a strain of pyridoxal-dependent Streptococcus mitis with unique biochemical properties that distinguished it from other nutritionally variant streptococci (NVS).
