Zusammenfassung:The spectral signature of the waters of 7 lakes in the Loosdrecht lake area was determined on the basis of measurements of subsurface upwelling irradiance and irradiance reflectance, together with estimates of scattering and laboratory measurements of absorption by aquatic humus and particulate matter. A high degree of correlation between in-situ measurements and remote sensing data was achieved, particularly by the selective use of 10-20 nm wide bands in the spectral range 500 to 720 nm. Accurate estimates of a range of parameters were possible, including transparency, light attenuation, absorption and scattering. There are 31 references.
