Zusammenfassung:	Data are presented from experiments on the effect of 2 commercial triazine weedkillers (gardoprim and gesapax) on freshwater algae (including green algae, blue-green algae, and diatoms) from the Nile river, Egypt. Inhibition of algal growth, effect on diversity, and recovery of algal populations depended on type of weedkiller, its concentration, period of contact, and dominant species present. The algae showed great variability in their accumulation of the 2 products.
