Comparative studies of the occurrence of arbuscular fungi and mycorrhizae (Glomales) in cultivated and uncultivated soils of Poland

The paper presents results of 6-year studies on the occurrence of arbuscular fungi and mycorrhizae in cultivated and uncultivated soils of Poland. The comparison includes the incidence of spore and species densities, and the levels of mycorrhizal colonization. The relationship between the occurrence of arbuscular fungi and mycorrhizae and soil chemical properties was assessed based on analysis of correlation. The distribution of the fungal species found both in Poland and in the world is presented.
