Zusammenfassung:beta -cyclodextrin-butane sulfonic acid is reported to be an efficient catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthols by the multicomponent condensation of aromatic aldehydes, beta -naphthol and amides under solvent-free conditions. The present methodology offers several advantages such as shorter reaction time, mild reaction conditions, a simple operational procedure and use of a recyclable catalyst.
