Leading with a Consistency of Purpose

[...]most of all, we come together to celebrate the diversity and excellence in science that is directed to understanding, preventing, and curing diseases of the oral, dental, and craniofacial region. Sure, there are innovative ideas brought forward by members of the board, but we essentially lead with a consistency of purpose to carry out the mission of an association that serves all of you—the principle stakeholders. Discussions are converging on ideas for an AADR Institute for Innovation and Discovery with a goal of working with individual faculty or schools of dentistry to advance AADR’s mission of research and discovery and to ensure that dentistry remains a profession that embraces innovation and is grounded in extraordinary science. AADR has pledged support for one dental student to spend a year in a National Institutes of Health laboratory within the Medical Research Scholars Program.
