Zusammenfassung: | Mycobacterium kansasii infection was first described in association with HIV disease in 1984. The lung is the commonest site of M. kansasii infection in AIDS patients accounting for about 80% of isolates, whilst almost all the remainder have disseminated disease with gut involvement. We describe a highly unusual clinical presentation of disseminated M. kansasii infection which produced multiple scalp abscesses. |
