Zusammenfassung: | It is estimated that health care workers experience at least 800,000 needlestick injuries (NI) each year in the United States. Pediatric health care workers may be at higher risk for needlestick exposure according to one study where the incidence of needlestick injuries in a pediatric hospital was triple the national average. We examined the NI data reported by health care workers in a Children's hospital during a 12-month period which detailed the information about each injury. |
