Zusammenfassung: | Cellular silicate glass and foam glass-ceramic materials are of considerable interest from scientific and practical perspectives due to their unique performance properties. It is shown that the previous powder technology was based on the sulfate mechanism of gas formation which had inherent disadvantages. Reasons are given for an opportunity to use quite a different, i.e., hydrated, mechanism of gas formation. The data concerning the peculiarities of the obtained cellular material are given. The peculiarities of hydrated technology are discussed. |
