Zusammenfassung: | We studied a wide range distance measurement system based on highly sensitive detection of the two-photon absorption photocurrent from a Si-APD. The measurable distance was investigated theoretically and experimentally in detail. The experimental results agreed well with the theory. We demonstrated fiber fault location over a 50 km fiber. Breakpoints from 20 m to 50 km away in the optical fiber were successfully detected. |
