Zusammenfassung:We are developing a new velocity filter which is foreseen for separation of fusion and deep inelastic transfer products in the region of heavy and superheavy nuclei. The device is developed in collaboration with GSI Darmstadt, the University of Giessen and the Manipal University, India. In parallel to the separator design we are developing new techniques for particle detection and identification, especially for heavy nuclei which are not accessible with the presently available techniques.
