Magnetic and transport properties of EuTiO sub(3) thin films doped with Nb

Zusammenfassung: | We report on the growth and magnetic and electrical transport properties of perovskite-type EuTi sub(1-x)Nb sub(x)O sub(3) thin films (0 [< or =] x [< or =] 0.1). Single-phase epitaxial thin films with smooth interfaces were grown on SrTiO sub(3) and (LaAlO sub(3)) sub(0.3)(Sr sub(2)AlTaO sub(6)) sub(0.7) single-crystalline substrates by pulsed laser deposition. While the thin films with x = 0 and 0.01 exhibit an antiferromagnetic and insulating behavior, a ferromagnetic and metallic behavior is observed for the thin films with x = 0.05 and 0.1. Temperature-variable resistivity data for the metallic films show a kink at the Curie temperature, indicating a clear correlation between magnetic and transport properties. |
