Zusammenfassung: | Regina Muhlhauser operated an impressive number of varied sources to account not only the entire range of 'encounters' that existed during the German occupation of the Soviet Union between German soldiers and women, but also the fate of Children from these contacts. His goal is to capture those most accurately process and present, as well as the meaning given to them by the persons concerned, in the most subtle way possible. In doing so, the representations of sexuality and sexual practices are considered likely to change the course of history. This study is intended as a contribution to the history of the war of extermination, the German occupation and the National Socialist population policy. After a conceptual clarification and an outline of the state of research presented in the introduction, the four parts that make up the book deal respectively with sexual violence (chap. 1), sex in exchange for food or protection (chap. 2) the consensual intimate relations (Ch. 3) and the children of war (chap. 4). Adapted from the source document. |
