Zusammenfassung:An encounter between an adult male barren-ground Black Bear (Ursus americanus) and an adult Wolf (Canis lupus) at the Wolf's den near the Ikarut River in northern Labrador (ca. 58 degree 09' N, 63 degree 05' W) on 7 July 1990 is described in which the wolf was actively aggressive and the bear responded with only low levels of defense.
