The mannose-6-phosphate analogue, PXS64, inhibits fibrosis via TGF-β1 pathway in human lung fibroblasts

Highlights • PXS64 is a novel analogue of mannose-6-phosphate. • PXS64 reduces TGF-β1 driven fibrosis in NHLF cells, HF19 cells, and IPF patient lung fibroblasts. • Proteomics analysis with iTRAQ labelling showed that PXS64 specifically affects the TGF-β1 pathway.
