Zusammenfassung: | Study on water transfer from a basin to others aims to exploit and utilize water resources effectively. However, this is considered as a complex and sensitive issue due to many constraints of socio‐economics and environment. The Phuoc Hoa hydraulic‐works, the fourth cascade on Be River located in the south of Vietnam, is now under construction. Then, a planned discharge of 50 m3/s will be transferred to the Dau Tieng reservoir in Sai Gon River. Based on the reliably processed meteo‐hydrological data, water demands and the constraint of environmental flow, etc., the rainfall–runoff model, NAM, and water balance model, MIKE BASIN, were applied to the Be River basin. The simulated results using NAM model showed efficiency coefficient R
