Zusammenfassung:Although the 2014 Monitoring the Future study showed encouraging decreases in binge drinking, traditional cigarette smoking, and marijuana use in US teenagers, adolescent substance use remains a significant problem globally. Alcohol and illicit drug use represented 2 of the main risk factors for healthy years lost in 10- to 24-year-olds worldwide according to data from the World Health Organization's 2004 Global Burden of Disease study.
