Zusammenfassung:Seven Soprano Pipistrelle bats (Pipistrellus pygmaeus (Leach, 1825)) were noticed afloat in Harry's Pond on Great Island, Co. Cork (W83676939) on 8 June 2007. Their bodies and wings were entangled with filaments of algae (Cladophora sp.) (Fig. 1). They were sluggishly keeping afloat. Of these, six were rescued, but one had expired. This specimen was an adult female and weighed 6.5 g.
