Sorption of trichloroethylene onto a zeolite accompanied by methanotrophic biotransformation

The sorption of trichloroethylene (TCE) onto a synthetic hydrophobic zeolite, silicalite is measured. The availability of sorbed TCE for cometabolic transformation by methanotrophic bacteria is evaluated and modeled.
