Zusammenfassung: | When performing proteomic analysis of the effect of salicylic acid (SA) on pea roots, we found a number of proteins (SA marker proteins) that were absent in the control variant (without treatment with SA) [1]. The use of radiolabeled amino acids showed that these proteins exhibited the highest radioactivity. Oppositely directed changes in the specific radioactivity of the remaining salicylate suppressed proteins was sug gestive of the contribution of proteolysis to the change in their content. We decided to obtain more informa tion about this phenomenon using cycloheximide (CH), an inhibitor of translation performed by 80S ribosomes. Interest to this problem was also deter mined by the lack of publications on the effect of CH on the proteomes of plants. |
