Zusammenfassung:Based on a graphene oxide absorber mirror, the laser-diode pumped mode-locked Yb:Y2SiO5 (Yb:YSO) laser was demonstrated for the first time. The laser generated pulses with pulse duration as short as ~763fs and average output power of 700mW at the central wavelength of 1059nm. The corresponding peak power and energy of a single pulse were ~8.6kW and ~7.4nJ, respectively. To our best knowledge, this is the shortest bulk mode-locked laser based on graphene oxide. •High quality graphene oxide absorber was fabricated by vertical evaporation method.•The mode locked Yb:Y2SiO5 laser was realized with graphene oxide for the first time.•This is the first femtosecond bulk laser based on graphene oxide.
