Zusammenfassung: | Non-Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy (NRBS) for the composition analysis and X-ray diffraction (XRD) for the crystallographic structure analysis have been applied to the blanket candidate material, Li sub(2)TiO sub(3), which is known to absorb CO sub(2) though chemically stable. It is found that the amount of CO sub(2) absorbed by atmospheric exposure of the low- and medium-density samples is greater than or comparable to that by dry CO sub(2) gas exposure. By varying the density of the Li sub(2)TiO sub(3) and composition of the ambient gas, conditions to minimize the amount of CO sub(2) absorbed are discussed. |
