Zusammenfassung:	Cutaneous leishmaniasis is endemic in the Mediterranean area. Increases in the numbers of international travelers and immigrants have resulted in more cases in countries where the disease is not endemic. The pentavalent antimonial compounds are the principal therapeutic agents used for cutaneous leishmaniasis. Use of second-line treatments for resistant cases is complicated by toxicity. We report the successful treatment of antimony-resistant cutaneous leishmaniasis with liposomal amphotericin B.
