Skin Glands of Hynobius nigrescens and Onychodactylus japonicus (Caudata: Hynobiidae)

We present a light microscope, histological study of the skin glands of two Japanese hynobiid salamanders Hynobius nigrescens and Onychodactylus japonicus. We emphasize the appearance and maturation of the secretory granules in their poisonous glands.
