On Chilean species of the genus Stratiodrilus Haswell, 1900 (Polychaeta, Histriobdellidae)

This is a review of the Chilean species of genus Stratiodrilus on the base of published and unpublished material plus observations of the authors on S. platensis from Tolten River (Cautin Province in southern Chile) and on S. aeglaphilus and S. pugnaxi from localities near Concepcion. It is confirmed that four different species: S. platensis, S. aeglaphilus, S. pugnaxi and Stratiodrilus sp. inhabit the gill chamber of parastacid and aeglid decapod crustaceans living in fresh waters from the Fourth to the Tenth Chilean Administrative Regions. These species are briefly reported with SEM illustrations, drawings and with a pictorial key (DBO).
