Zusammenfassung:The diterpene 3-epicaryoptin reduced growth and increased mortality of Ostrinia nubilalis (Hubner) (European corn borer) larvae when incorporated into artificial diet at concentrations of 0.1, 0.3, 1.0, 3.0 and 10.0 ppm. Pupal deformities and time to pupation also increased in a dose-dependent manner. 3-epicaryoptin and other diterpenes show potential as plant-derived compounds for protection of commercial plants
