Radiation technologies: Their possibilities, state, and prospects of application

Radiation technologies are a bright example of accordance with the principles of “green chemistry.” The author of this article draws attention to the advantages of electron-beam processing, which makes it possible to produce polymeric goods with useful properties, to sterilize medical items, and to prolong the storage life of agricultural products and foods without exerting an adverse impact on the environment.
