Optimization of Distributed Control Systems Using Information Technology Assets

By improvement of industries, the demand of usingof feasible industrial control system (ICS) and optimizing thecurrent method is growing. Distributed control system is one ofthe best and usual methods for controlling an industrial system.Simplicity, flexibility, extensibility, scalability, fault toleranceand accommodation are some of its features that caused thismethod outshine from the other methods and by using newtechnologies, new facilities can be added easily. NowadaysInformation Technology (IT) science gives us various tools foroptimization and better execution of DCS. This paper willintroduce these tools and their usage and at the end a practicalexample including all of these tools will be presented.
