Zusammenfassung:The objective of this study was to evaluate the suitability of mixed oxides of silica (SiO sub(2)) and ruthenia (RuO sub(2)) for use as electrocatalyst supports in polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs). The RuO sub(2):SiO sub(2) oxides were synthesized in three different molar ratios (0.1:0.9, 0.3:0.7 and 0.5:0.5).
