Zusammenfassung:	The structure of the ascospore and ascospore appendages is described for Remispora galerita. The polar appendages comprise discrete radiating strands, which are continuous with the episporium and are embedded in a fibrillar matrix. The discrete strands are diagnostic of this species. The appendage of R. galerita is compared with other species of Remispora and other species of the Halosphaeriales.
