Zusammenfassung:The phase equilibria of the Ce-Si-Zr ternary system at both 773 and 1173 K have been investigated by means of powder x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The existence of 11 binary compounds, Ce 5 Si 3 , Ce 3 Si 2 , Ce 5 Si 4 , CeSi, Ce 3 Si 5 , CeSi 2 , Zr 2 Si, Zr 3 Si 2 , Zr 5 Si 4 , ZrSi and ZrSi 2 was confirmed. No ternary compounds were observed. Both isothermal sections consist of 14 single-phase regions, 25 two-phase regions, and 12 three-phase regions.
