Automaton implementations of the process of generating a Collatz sequence

Algorithms for producing a Collatz sequence are considered in the cases of the binary and ternary number systems. Advantages of this approach to the representation of such a sequence are considered. Logic circuits of iterative automata that implement the algorithms described are presented.
