Vaccinate before the next pandemic?

In March, the European Medicines Agency reported that since October more than 42 million Europeans, nearly half a million of whom were pregnant, had been vaccinated with one of the three pandemic vaccines authorized for use in the European Union, with no more adverse reactions than would be expected from a seasonal influenza vaccine4.
