Zusammenfassung:Contrary to the trapping and the reduction of carbon dioxide and the other Green House Gas strategies which are being implemented in developed countries, this paper attempts to seize the process of adaptation to climate change from a purely African point of view. After a survey on the peasants in the village called Louggol-Bame in the Northern Cameroon region, the paper presents a metaphysical option of overcoming the irregularities of the rain. On the one hand, the faithful of monotheistic religions -- Islam, Christianism -- practice ecumenical prayers. On the other hand, animist peasants invoke spirits either through the "rain hunting" named "madalla ngi vung" or through ritual offerings called "saddaka". In both cases, the peasants seem to be satisfied of the results whenever they refer to that local knowledge.
