Zusammenfassung: | A total of 40 A. hydrophila strains were isolated from stool samples from children suffering from gastroenteritis. Haemolysin was considered as the major criteria for the selection of the strains for the molecular typing study. Eight diarrhoeal isolates were randomly selected and analysed for their genetic profiling. Non haemolytic diarrhoeal strains and environmental strains were also included. A greater heterogeneity among the clinical and environmental isolates of A. hydrophila has been demonstrated by RAPD and ERIC-PCR methods. The strains revealed a clear clonal structure. On this basis, researchers came to a conclusion that all the isolates of A. hydrophila having genetically heterogenous. |
