[...]we analyzed changes in the expression profile of collagen-related genes in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) and examined the relationships with left ventricular (LV) dysfunction. Inhibition of collagen remodeling can lead to improved cardiac function, demonstrating the relevance of new insights into the compensatory remodeling mechanism.
