Overexpression of GYS1, MIF , and MYC Is Associated With Adverse Outcome and Poor Response to Azacitidine in Myelodysplastic Syndromes and Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Micro-Abstract Molecular abnormalities are critical in prognosis of myeloid malignancies. We evaluated the impact of gene expression in 81 patients with MDS and AML. Over-expression of some of these genes was related to poor outcome ( GYS1 and MIF ) and lower response to azacitidine ( MYC ). Validat...

Zusammenfassung:Micro-Abstract Molecular abnormalities are critical in prognosis of myeloid malignancies. We evaluated the impact of gene expression in 81 patients with MDS and AML. Over-expression of some of these genes was related to poor outcome ( GYS1 and MIF ) and lower response to azacitidine ( MYC ). Validation of these results could translate in prognosis refinement and treatment decision.
