Biodiversity in the ecosystem of the Portuguese continental shelf : distributional ecology and the role of benthic amphipods

A study analyzed the biodiversity and distributional ecology of amphipod crustaceans along the coast of Portugal. The abundance of Ampelisca species indicates that they may be an important food source, especially for demersal fishes.
