Zusammenfassung:A novel optical fiber irradiance-meter and a more conventional sensor were used to measure photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) in Postelsia palmaeformis strands under breaking waves. Data indicate that the variance in PAR occurred over the range of frequencies and amplitudes under which enhancement of light-flash utilization-efficiency is theoretically possible.
