Ecology of the bivalve-inhabiting hydroid Eugymnanthea inquilina in the coastal sounds of Taranto (Ionian Sea, SE Italy)

A study examined the life history of the the bivalve-inhabiting hydroid Eugymnanthea inquilina in two different hosts from the Ionian Sea. Results suggest a protective role of the hydroid against mussel parasites.
