Zusammenfassung:Plant macrofossil analyses of fossiliferous silt and sand channel-fill deposits from The Brays Pit near Mathon in the English West Midlands yielded the first record of Corrigiola litoralis L. in the British Middle Pleistocene. The presence of Corrigiola litoralis at this site shows that this taxon has occurred naturally in the British Isles. This may support the opinion that one of the extant populations of this species in south-west England may be regarded as native. The stratigraphic context of the site is briefly considered followed by a description of the macroscopic remains.
