Parvicapsula hoffmani sp.n. (Myxozoa: Parvicapsulidae) from the mullet, Liza macrolepis (Smith)

A new myxosporean parasite, Parvicapsula hoffmani sp.n. is described. It infects, the intestinal muscles of Liza macrolepis , a common mullet, inhabiting the backwater regions of Visakhapatnam harbour on the east coast of India. The systematic position of the parasite is discussed.
