Zusammenfassung:An interview with Lissarrague and Schnapp 30 years after the publication of "Cité des Images: Religion et Société en Grèce Antique" brings the anthropological approach to Greek images up to date. The discussion explores different approaches of the past, including archaeology, transmission, the necessity of ordering, and the work of Jean-Pierre Vernant and Pierre Vidal-Naquet. Lissarrague's publication "La Cité des Satyres" and an upcoming exhibition on nature in Greek art are also addressed. The question of categories as a necessary evil in research is considered.
