Zusammenfassung:•Two new (1 and 2) diterpenoids were isolated from husks of Oryza sativa.•Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic means.•Compounds 1 and 2 showed anti-fungal activity against Magnaporthe grisea. A new pimarane diterpene 6β,19β-epoxy-3β-hydroxy-5α,9β-pimara-7,15-diene (1) and a new abietane diterpene 3β,20β-epoxy-3α-hydroxy-5α-abieta-8,11,13-trien-7-one (2) were isolated from the rice husks of Oryza sativa L. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, including MS, 1D and 2D NMR techniques. Compounds 1 and 2 were found to show inhibitory activity against spore germination of Magnaporthe grisea with IC50 values 0.213 and 0.232mM, respectively.
