Study on the Slope Stability Evaluation Method based on GIS

Slope stability evaluation as the main research content of slope engineering has an important significance for landslide warning and prevention. This paper studied the qualitative and quantitative evaluation of slope stability, and discussed the key technology of GIS applied in the slope stability evaluation. Sichuan Saide slope engineering project was an example. This system introduced GIS technology and developed comprehensive fuzzy qualitative evaluation module and limit equilibrium method of quantitative evaluation module. At last, the system combined the two kinds of evaluation method and set up a reasonable system of slope stability evaluation. The results can provide a reliable basis for the early warning and control of the landslide disaster.
