Zusammenfassung:In this presentation, we will report on the theoretical simulation of optical parameters and characteristics and experimental investigation of AM LCDs under high ambient illumination. We will discuss the possibility of improving the quality of an AM LCD compared to well‐known methods such as attaching a glass with antireflective coating (AR‐glass) to the front of an LCD. Some practical advises how to increase the outdoor contrast and other parameters will be also discussed.
